Springbank School is Northland’s leading coeducational private school that caters for students from Years 1 to 13. With only 200 students, we are able to offer our international students the true ‘kiwi experience’ whilst ensuring they achieve their academic goals as we follow the International Cambridge Curriculum. We offer a very safe, and very caring environment and our International Programme welcomes international students from all over the world.

We are a small, private independent school that supports exceptional learning, with just 15 to 25 students per classroom. Academic excellence is achieved and ESOL English language support is provided. Our international students enjoy a safe and caring environment, with excellent pastoral care and a true ‘kiwi’ experience with our homestay families.

Educational Highlights

Our Cambridge International Curriculum
and Examinations are internationally
recognised. Our students have achieved
top marks in New Zealand for IGCSE
ICT (Information Communication and
Technology) and AS English Language,
High Achievement for AS English, AS Level German and IGCSE French and Distinction in Speaking AS French and Spanish.

Special Facilities

Our special Outdoor Adventure programme allows students to gain life skills whilst experiencing all the Bay of Islands offers through learning to surf, dive, kayak, sail, tramp, hike, camp and abseil.
Local clubs also welcome international
students. Activities include horse riding, golf, swimming, tennis, dancing, ballet, music, singing, judo, archery, gymnastics, kickboxing and squash.

Sporting Highlights

Hockey is popular with all Springbank
students, as well as Athletics, Tennis,
Basketball, Volleyball, Netball, Football,
Wall-Climbing and Orienteering.

Cultural Highlights

We offer Drama, with a bi-annual school
drama production, Art, including an annual art exhibition, and Music, with musical performances always encouraged.
