Kerikeri High School is a warm hearted, innovative, co-educational secondary school set on expansive grounds.  We are known for high academic performance and for producing students strong in the Four Cornerstones of a balanced education; Academic, Cultural, Sporting and Leadership & Service.

International students enrolled at Kerikeri High School can choose to take part in one of our Adventure Academies; Sailing, Surfing, Equestrian or Mountain Biking.  Students doing these programmes will study regular classes Monday – Thursdays and on Fridays will be participating in their chosen Academy.  Training is with world-class coaches making the most of the diverse and exciting Bay of Islands playground.

Educational Highlights:

Kerikeri High School has an extensive curriculum with a full range of subjects on offer, including the core subjects like Mathematics and the Sciences, and an exciting choice of optional subjects (Arts, Hospitality, Technology, Performing Arts, Music and Outdoor Education).  International students will study either ESOL or English classes with New Zealand students.

Cultural Highlights:

International students are encouraged to participate in all cultural activities available at Kerikeri High School including; Kapa Haka (Maori Culture group), music and bands, drama productions and debating.

Sporting Highlights

Kerikeri High School has over 30 different sports available during the academic year including; sailing, soccer (football), rugby, basketball, tennis, volleyball, athletics, hockey, table tennis, swimming and mountain biking to name a few of them.  International students trial out for a place in the teams alongside the kiwi students.

We have a dedicated and friendly International team with an “open door” policy offering 24/7 support for our international students.   Kerikeri High School is located right in the heart of Kerikeri township and easy walking distance to the sports complexes, fitness gyms, shops, cafes and cinema.
